Jolanta Marquardt laughs so often and heartily that it’s hard to imagine her looking grumpy at times. Yet her job is not one that is permanently fun. Marquardt works as a restroom attendant. Three times a week, she works in clubs at night or at conventions during the day to ensure that highly frequented restrooms remain hygienic. That the toilet seats are clean and the soap dispensers filled, that the toilets don’t clog up and that the toilet paper doesn’t run out.
